Care Tips

Please be sure to trim wick 1/4" before each lighting. Keep lit candle away from draft as this can cause sooting (smoke). Only burn candle on level, fire resistant surfaces. Please be aware that the candle container is made of metal which can get hot to touch while candle is lit. Please keep this in mind when handling the candle. Please keep out reach of children . If candle container gets residue after burning you can simply use a cloth and wipe it off, as the container is very durable and can be repurposed. Do not burn candle for more than 2 hours at a time. Stop use when only 1/4 of wax remains.

mushrooming- A mushroom wick occurs when the wax of your candle is unable to burn fast enough to keep up with the wick. This means that the wick starts to absorb the wax which creates a buildup of carbon particles on the wick. If "mushrooming" occurs with your candle, we recommend trimming the carbon buildup off the wick between burnings.

Sooting- Soot is caused when there is incomplete combustion of the fuel. If there is too much fuel for the flame to use, it is put off in the form of soot. To reduce sooting do not burn candles near drafty areas such as, air vents, fans, or open windows as this will cause your candle to produce soot.

repurpose- You don't have to throw away your candle vessel after 1/4 of wax remains. You can repurpose it and use it as a makeup holder, plant pot and so much more! Just add boiling water to the vessel to melt the left over wax (be careful to not burn yourself as the vessel will get hot! be sure to use heat protective material for your hands!) once the wax is melted, use an oven mitten or towel to hold the vessel and pour the hot water out of the vessel. Then wipe out the excess and wash the vessel.
